STORMWORKS CHAPTER 3" is an album of the fifth
piece of Melillo released in 2000.
It is said that this album sold most in the work of Melillo. The collection
tune is today.
There are a lot of Melillo works performed in Japan. This best-selling album
It is a band, and "MARINE BAND OF THE ROYAL NETHERLANDS NAVY" that
performs that represents the Netherlands.

As for this work of the title "Godspeed!",
the tempo is composed suddenness--suddenly. As for "Rapid" in
the first half, high inside bass continues from the introduction that
looks like the fanfare with the trumpet the woodwind group's such as flutes
introducing in a kooky rhythm, and continuing to an energetic theme that
became integral. Next, it changes radically to "", and the scale
feeling with the horn is produced. And, solo with a beautiful cor anglais
and harp is developed. And, the single sound of a super-bass hardens the
base meanwhile like the earth tremor, and a strange balance with the stability
to exceed is invented. And, "Rapid" in the latter half starts
suddenly by the accompaniment of the snare and Kura Bess, and the theme
in the first half is repeated. And, after the accompaniment of a high
hat cymbals and the tympani, the horn gets on while the breath doesn't
attach either. The woodwind plays the melody of the first "WAIT of
the WORLD" movement in the back. However, original and further power
of the instruction of "groove" are poured, and the climax of
high inside bass and the power of the Canecda percussion instrument is
faced without becoming weak. It is this god speed that the Melillo's work
famously became it in Japan of today. It is said that it is because amateur
brass band body of Chiba Prefecture and "Toke Civic Wind Orchestra"
perform in the music for "All Japan band Competition 2000".
The one and this tune from it became tunes performed most in the Melillo's
work. It is a tune of about six minutes. |
IN THE
BEGINNING... Op.626 in 1992 |
It is composed of three movement organization. It is
a tune that makes Jurassic Park imaging it. I think that there might be
neither Jurassic Park nor relations of the movie. Melillo might have read
Michael Crichton's original from the movie. Well, the first movement raises
the act from the woodwind though the tune. Suddenly, the brass instrument
appears, and the dinosaur appears. The bass gets on the rhythm of the
Latin percussion, and the appearance of the dinosaur is played. The tune
runs fast to the last minute like this flow. It ..woodwind.. ..quiet thing..
plays it so that the second movement may express one o'clock that the
dinosaur left. As for the third movement, the phrase in the first movement
is asked. It might be evidence to which the dinosaur returned. It is a
movement where the appearance that the dinosaur is raging floats. It is
a tune for about 13 minutes. |
DAVID Op.800

It is a work that Melillo wrote based on the talk "David"
that H.Emissare wrote. This is composed of three movement organization,
too. The first movement is a movement of having drawn the scene of the
fight. The phrase of the fight is tightly expressed though it is not too
violent. Movement that the second movement depicted before fight. The
soprano singer appears here. The singer is Herena Wicclnd. It puts on
this singing voice and a calm phrase is performed. As for the third movement,
the scene after the fight ends is expressed. It advances climatically
after a beautiful melody is heard, and it is heard deliberately. It is
a tune of about 15 minutes. |
Time
to Take back the Knights ! aka THE CHOSEN Op.861 in 1999 |
It was composed as a tune of a series of "American
Knights" series that Melillo produced. This work is called the alias
and "TIME toTAKE BACK the KNIGHTS". It prepares and starts from
peculiar jazz to Melillo when thinking that it starts from opening saxophone
solo, and the tempo quickened of the tune. The piano and the electricity
base, etc. are used for the accompaniment. The electricity base is often
used for the work of Melillo. The ensemble with the woodwind is unfolded
when the part ends, and the melody of "American Knights" is
sung gracefully. After jazz preparing, the reproduction of part, and the
grand singing of the theme, the tempo raises and faces the climax again
afterwards. It is a tune on 20 seconds of about eight minutes. |
THE
SPEECH OF ANGELS Op.858 in 1998 |
At the beginning, it starts from a mysterious expression
as shown in title "the Speech of Angels". The accompaniment
is composed by the keyboard, the piano, and the harp, and the woodwind
plays the melody quietly. The tempo goes up after these are introduced,
and the brass instrument joins with the chorus of the synthesizer, too.
It quiets down again when this part ends, the melody with a brave horn
enters after an opening accompaniment, and the tune ends. It is a tune
of about eight minutes. |

It talks about Melillo so when this work is published. I am not man who has an especially excellent ability, and There is only "one of the dust in the space to show the extension like unthinkable of me. My being able to do is very small, and power shortage to appeal to the person. I only call out, that is, "Love" that a lot of other wonderful composers took up on countless occasions and have this work. I was waiting. Strain one's ears in the night sky, and while listening to a secret voice in the morning. There is no work that spends the time of this in about as many as 847 that I have written up to now ・・・ There is not a work to which it gave birth while expecting it while worrying like this either. I was waiting so. While hoping for the voice to talk about the one to be talked about while looking for the star. And, in me, what I had been expecting became a child. It became love. If it is feelings, and you of this me, it understands surely. Surely, surely surely」 The work consists as a work that all are single and coils round "STORM"
by three composition. It is led to a new age by expected what ,in a
word, the child in the first movement and "And, children lead now"
from the age of the struggle. The struggle against "Already happened
(past)" has been treated in the second movement and "The past
is waited". In the past, it is necessary to overcome me by the
end as for the one to beautify all the pasts by yourself and the exaggerated
one. The one to see the struggle previously is expressed in the third
movement and "Remembering the Future", and Melillo is "It
conceals it in title "WAIT of the WORLD". It previously reaches
