MILLENNIA Op.837 in 1997
　 It is "Millennia" to decorate opening with which the speed feeling overflows at the beginning. "Art of the State" of the first movement is an action score without the leave from which it takes a rest from beginning to end either. It is really a tune like hearing a passage from film music. Especially, feeling that it is the one with wonderful activity of brass instrument, and there is no act of which other musical instruments go out. It is a tune of atmosphere settled by may call "By Love Inviolate" of the second movement a quite opposite movement. It starts from the solo of the flute, it connects with the oboe, and it is connected with gentle solo of the horn. The harp that takes charge of the accompaniment is very attractive. The taste with a good comparison of the solo of the oboe and the saxophone that puts one o'clock and appears is put out. The hearing place of this movement might be still a theme that Cocoroiya is done at the woodwind center. It is made to think that the climax is grand, and it finishes disappearing again by the theme of silence with the woodwind. It is a tune of about ten minutes.

 

The First & The Last Op.770 in 1995
　 It is music of the third movement organization to which "the First and Last" and the name are named. The first movement "In the Labyrinth of the Lion" is a movement with which the speed feeling overflows as well as "Mirenia". A different place is that musical instruments that sang the theme changed from the brass instrument into the woodwind however. Here has not been defeated at good-looking though some power falls compared with "Mirenia" either. The second movement "In the Hollow of the Heart" is settled movement. A gentle theme of the woodwind appears again. The solo of the trumpet is also graceful, and the melody that remains in the mind. The power of an original tune is still more different though the third movement "In the Battle at Meggido" is the same music as the third movement "In the Arena at Meggido" of "WAY OF THE WARRIOR" collected to "Winds & Percussion in Motion". Here shines to a sharp melody of the trombone. It is a tune of about 12 minutes.

 

"I"of the STORM Op.755 in 1994
　As for this tune, one musical instruments are picked up by each movement in the third movement organization. The solo of the alto saxophone develops in ""I"of the STORM" of the first movement. In the second movement "No One Knows", the solo of the clarinet appears beautifully. In the third movement "Epilogue:"I"of the STORM", the tenor saxophone is Fecharinged. The theme of the first movement is shown again by the tenor saxophone. The saxophone charge of the first movement and the third movement is "Raiptsihhi saxophone quartet. "The top player of "Raiptsihhi broadcasting brass band" is taking charge of the clarinet of the second movement. It is a tune on 20 seconds of about nine minutes

 

AHAB! Op.621 in 1992
　It appears in sea story "White whale" of writer Harman Melville in the United States, and the work that casts away one's life, runs after white whale Mobe Dick of the phantom, and drew captain Eihab of a man in the sea where a ghostly fight is developed. "Francis Macbes" who is the music for wind instruments composer also makes this novel a theme and the work "Sailor and whale" is composed. Well, not the narrator in this tune but actor's "Kurtwood Smith" (person who kills police inspector Murphy by 【 U.S. in 1987 Robocop 】, and challenges Robocop to a fight) takes charge of music for wind instruments though there is often a tune that the narration joins. His role is production only in the recording of CD that grips the mind of the person who hears it though it might be incomprehensible. The music of Melillo is fantastic music put together on the narration well. (The phrase that looks like the theme of Batman whom Danny Elfman composed appears only a little. )Effect Otomure that comes out on the way is terrible and good, too. I thought that it was a tune that the feeling that was not seen the movie but was heard did. It is a tune of about 24 minutes.

 

Escape from PLATO'S Cave Op.699 in 1993
　"Escape from Plato's cave" is a tune that makes "Metaphor of the cave" concerning the idea theory of the good that comes out in classics 'Nation' of the Greece philosophy that Plato wrote a theme. It is composed of the third movement organization. The first movement is a tune where the cave where "Light" doesn't reach expresses deep. Fear of the approach and coming that Melillo produces can be tasted. The second movement is a movement that the people on the outside teach the existence of "Light" to the people in the cave. It becomes atmosphere of which light will stream before long only though a pitch-dark stifling cave is felt at first. The third movement is music of the escape of which the people in the cave try to go out for "Light". I think that it is music of Melillo different from always. This tune came to be performed in the music for wind instruments contest of Japan recently. Indeed though it might be a cutting version. It is a tune of about 16 minutes.
